A trip to the Bronx Zoo on Donation Day!

Well, where can I start? First of all, if you decide to go to the Bronx Zoo on Donation Day, please try to remember that it is DONATION DAY!!! Everyone is there for the same reason that you are! It's simply a donation. This means that everyone and their mother will be there! Come to think of it, I believe they were there!

You would swear that the zoo keepers took all of the animals and hid them somewhere! The lions, there were only 2. Camels, there were a few, but only because they made money off of them for rides! There was plenty of Bison, and Nyla's, but kids don't want to see them. They want to see lots of big mean animals!

I will say that there were plenty of people there that you would think that belonged in the zoo! They were yelling at their kids, losing them, puching people and shoving their way to the next area, and then they would get mad when there wasn't anything to really look at!

The food is ridiculously overpriced, but where isn't it now a days?!?!?! I mean, I can't remember the last time I paid $3.00 for a bottle of water! Can you?

The BEST part of the trip is when the kids are smiling and then it all somehow seems worth all of the aggrivation! They get happy over the stupid little things! They see 1, not 2, 3, 4 or 5, but 1 meesly Polar Bear (just like Evan's painted face) and they get excited! The Polar Bear was sleeping and then he(Evan) started to growl like a Bear and the Polar Bear woke up. All of the sudden, he says in a cute little deep voice "I woke him up with my secret signal!" All of the sudden you feel like it was the best trip ever! That is until you get lost and can't find the right exit and No one in the park can help you get out!

So, just when you think that the trip is going to be the worst trip ever, it turned out to be a lot of fun! So what if you didn't get to see all of the animals that you were expecting and the people are rude. When you see a little boy get allexcited over something so small, it will melt your heart and make it all worth while!
