Pride Parade

It was a beautiful day for a wonderful event! It was a day where you could go to the Village in NY and be yourself! You could dress the way you felt comfortable, kiss and even hold hands without feeling like an outcast!

While we didn't get to see the whole parade, I will tell you what we did see. We saw Gay and Lesbian couples who have been together for more than 10, 20, 30 years and some have been together for over 40! Gay and Lesbian couples with their children. Drag Queens out and strutting their stuff. Dykes on Bikes, Gays on Bikes. City Council's out and showing their pride. Radio station Pulse 87.7 pumping the dance music. Proud Israeli's dancing as they marched on. Gay and Lesbian Police, Firfighters & EMT's marched with and without their partners. We saw people happy and we were amazed at how excited people were to show their colors of the rainbow!

It was exhilarating to be able to go and celebrate with people like me and my partner! Senator Chuck Schumer was marching and announcing his support! Danielle Staub show up with her Gay friends.

I do have to say one thing, we were very happy that we did not run into any groups that were against Homosexuals, Bisexuals, Trans-genders or Transvestites!

I also believe that it isn't anyone Else's business what other people do in the privacy of their lives as well as homes.  Why do so many people care so much about what other people do?  Are their lives so pathetic and boring that they feel the need to try to ruin others because they do not agree with their lifestyle? They should turn and look the other way. Maybe they should fix the problems in their lives and stop worrying so much about what other people are doing! If God is the only one who can judge, then why do they feel the need to?  Spread God's love, not hate! After all, doesn't God love all of his children? It is God who decides ones fate, not ours!

God made all of us different for a reason.  We are not all suppose to be the same.  Everyone is different from the way we look, to the way we speak and with whom we love. If we were all the same, it would be a very boring place to live in.
